1. Marketing and Commercial Manager

Job summary


We are seeking a Marketing and Commercial Manager to lead the development and promotion of our Japan-focused educational, cultural and business services in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, expanding market presence and supporting the overall commercial growth of the business.


Main duties

  • Develop and implement marketing and commercial strategies to support business growth.

  • Conduct market research and analyse customer demand for Japan-related educational, cultural and business services.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships in the UK and internationally.

  • Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, corporate partners and clients.

  • Prepare proposals, promotional materials and commercial presentations.

  • Manage online and offline marketing activities, including website content, social media and promotional campaigns.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities and provide recommendations to senior management.

  • Produce regular reports on marketing performance, sales activities and business development initiatives.

  • Negotiate and manage commercial agreements with external partners and service providers.

  • Support the development and launch of new products and services aligned with the company's business objectives.


Skills and experience
 

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience in Marketing, Business, Education, International Business or a related field.

  • Experience in marketing, business development, commercial management or partnership development.

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to conduct market research and develop commercial strategies.

  • Experience in managing multiple projects and stakeholders.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.


Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Japanese culture, education or UK-Japan business relations.

  • Japanese language skills.

  • Experience in digital marketing and social media management.

  • Experience working within education, cultural exchange or international business sectors.


Working pattern

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday

9:00am – 5:30pm

Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for events and business meetings.


Salary

£51,000 per annum (Depend on experience)


Additional salary information

Performance-related bonus may be available subject to company performance.
